Next up for SS13 NIGHT / TIMES is the FUTURE ACID HOUSE TEE. As you’ve probably guessed house music goes down well at Collect so we pay respect to the genre.
“Acid House” was a term first dubbed in the mid to late 80’s in Chicago and has mixed provenance. Some believe it was tied with the release of Phuture’s “Acid Tracks” of 1987 but more likely it was simply a reference to the more psychedelic drugs doing the rounds in Chicago’s clubs where the ubiquitous house sound was developing.
Irrespective of where the name came from the term has defined a generation of club nights and raves during the 80s and early 90s and has never really disappeared with a healthy batch of new Roland 303 sounding tracks continuing to tear up dance floors.
